Sunshine ahead at Cheshire family festival

Sick of the snow already? Cheer yourself up by planning some great days out this summer – some of which are just a short drive down the M62.

A Liverpool Mum is looking forward to the hugely popular Cheshire Fest which will be staged across two days on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June.

First launched in 2016, Cheshire Fest offers a packed programme of family entertainment, live music, and food and drink in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

Taking place at Manchester Rugby Club in Cheadle Hulme, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever this year – with lots of new additions for 2019.

Organisers commented: “We’re absolutely thrilled and delighted to announce Cheshire Fest 2019. We can’t wait to reveal what we’ve been planning and to take it up to the next level now – it’s going to be such a good weekend.”

There will be plenty on offer for young festival-goers in the all-new Play Park. Building on previous years, the Play Park will be expanded across the site and will pack in a wide variety of activities, interactive workshops, all the fun of the fair with thrill rides, and live entertainment on the Kids Stage.

Live entertainment on the Cheshire Fest Main Stage across the Saturday and Sunday will feature a stellar array of the UK’s best tribute acts alongside the region’s finest new talent.

The Fillers and Kazabian will play on Saturday 1 June when the ‘Big Hitters’ theme promises a line-up of rock ‘n’ roll, indie pop and festival favourite-inspired artists. They join headliners Kings Ov Leon, along with The Phonics (Stereophonics) and Tina Turner tribute Totally Tina.

Meanwhile, The Stones and Vicky Jackson as Pink take to the main stage on Sunday 2 June which has a ‘Family Favourites’ theme which will entertain audiences with a host of all-time music greats for all ages.

Critically acclaimed Queen tribute Flash, Bruno – A Tribute To Bruno Mars and Little Mix tribute band Little Fix are also part of the Sunday line-up.

All this activity will guarantee visitors have worked up an appetite – and they most definitely won’t go hungry or thirsty at Cheshire Fest – with the finest selection of food and drink on offer from quality festival traders and local independents.

The Street Food Village will offer a wide choice of international cuisines, vegan and veggie options, gluten-free, raw-foods and kids’ menus. There really will be something to cater for all tastes.

An impressive food offer will be complemented by over 50 specially sourced beers, cask ales and ciders, produced by the very best independent breweries across the UK and Europe – as well as a relaxing Gin Garden, Prosecco Bar and plenty of summer cocktails.
